Oliver Lee Brantley Jr, transitioned from his Earthly life on January 13th, 2022, in his home surrounded by loved ones after an extended illness. Born on October 24th, 1947, to the late Oliver Lee Brantley Sr. and Nesola (Mitchell) Brantley.
Oliver or Ballgame as he was affectionately known, recently retired in July of 2020 from Ohio Grating where he worked as a processor. Ballgame loved his family and was preceded in death by sister Deborah Floyd and brothers Bruce and Palmon Brantley. He leaves to cherish his memories loving companion Rhonda Mackey; sisters Shirley Justice and Martha Walls and brother Willie Brantley, all of Canton; as well as Richard Mayle, whom he referred to as his son and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends who were like family.
Ballgame will be remembered for his love of music and sports, especially football and boxing. He was always the life of the party and loved telling stories. One thing he loved most of all was all the children who he called his “itty bitty’s”. To know Ballgame, was to love him and he will truly be missed. Ballgame baby!
