Maureen was born on March 30, 1956 in Lakewood, Ohio to Gerald and Ann Englert. She grew up in Berea, graduated from Berea High School and received her Bachelor's degree in early education from Kent State University. She taught for 16 years and was devoted to her students. She most recently worked at Bed, Bath, and Beyond as one of the leading bridal consultants in the nation. She was an active member of St Eugene Catholic Church, where she also sang in the church choir. Maureen's life revolved around her children, her grandchildren and her many friends.

Maureen is survived by her children, Siobhan (Van) and Seanan, their father Thomas Henterly, her grandchildren Thomas and Elowyn, her brothers Gerald, Kevin, and Terence, and her best friend Marcia Cooper. She was a beautiful person who will be missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
