Lillian "Pity" Collins

Lillian "Pity" Virginia Collins, 89, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, September 12th 2021 at home surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Philippi, WV on May 7th to the late Charlie and Ness Mayle. She is also preceded in death by her husband Victor Collins with whom she shared 38 years of marriage until his passing, 2 sisters Beatrice Kennedy, Nelda Jane Collins, 5 brothers Ephriam "Trigger" Mayle, Ralph Mayle, Emwood "Stonewall" Mayle, Wesley Mayle, and Leonard Mayle. In her lifetime, Pity was a devoted wife as well as a loving mother, sister, and friend to many. She worked very hard cleaning houses in Philippi  WV and also at the local charitable organization "Heart and Hand." A member of the Gospel of Jesus Christ Ministry. She was a beautiful singer of gospel music. Being famous for her good cooking she shared her home and table with countless family, friends and neighbors over the years. She enjoyed gathering with her family to play cards and music together as well as many trips to casinos. In her late years, her greatest joy came from seeing her grandchildren and great- grandchildren grow, as well as getting visitors. She will be loved and remembered forever by many but is rejoicing now in Heaven with her Savior and loved ones that she had missed for so long.  She is survived by 4 children Elaine Newman, Eugene (Donna) Collins, Colletta (Stoney) Kennedy, Eric (Amber) Collins; 2 brothers Wilbert (Virginia) Mayle, Arliss (Geraldine) Mayle; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; special niece Charlotte Kennedy; as well as a host of other nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. No services will be held at this time.
