With saddened hearts, we are announcing the death of James William Klemens on April 1, 2023, at the Laurels of Massillon, after being placed in Hospice Care. James was born in Canton, Ohio on December 21, 1941 to William and Helen Klemens, being the oldest son of thirteen children. He graduated from Louisville High School. After graduation he enlisted in the Army and served his country, where he was stationed in Germany. James served out his term in the military and was Honorably Discharged. James returned to Louisville, began to work at The Timken Company, where he retired, after being a dedicated employee for over 30 years.
In 1968, James married Judith M. Clay and they had two children, James and Michael Klemens. James was a lifelong member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Louisville, Ohio. James enjoyed staying busy, playing cards, socializing with friends and family and going away to casinos.
James is survived by sisters Eva, Jane, Patricia, Carol (Canton, OH) Rita (Fred) Enderlie (Piqua, OH), Kay (Gurnee, IL), Mary Ellen (Zanesville, OH) brothers Thomas (Alliance, OH), Joseph(Joanne) (Louisville, OH), and John (HungCha) (Sterling VA), sons James W. Klemens (Canton, OH) and Michael (Marie) (Canton, OH), granddaughters Alexandria, Shannon, Karlie, Kiersten and Sydney. And many nieces and nephews. James is preceded in death by parents William and Helen Klemens, siblings that died at birth Michael and Anthony and beloved wife and mother Judith Klemens.
Services will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 1:45 PM on Monday, April 24th, in lieu of flowers, please send donations to your charity of choice.
