Henry James Fetty was born on September 2nd, 1982 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He is survived by his parents, James and Sally Fetty and his brother Robert, Currently residing in North Canton, OH. Henry was 39. He is dearly missed.
Henry worked many different jobs while hoping to earn a college degree in science. He did not complete the college degree and this contributed to the depression and sense of failure that led to taking his own life on the evening of October 19th, 2021. He wrote that heavy chains wrapped around him and they would not break away.
In earlier years, however, Henry enjoyed being with friends of all ages and backgrounds. He loved studying math, physics and astronomy. The best times of life for Henry were his involvement in Christian missions because he always wanted to help people in need. He helped minister to children in poverty in Mexico on three different occasions. After completing one year of study in cross cultural communication he traveled to Bangladesh to share his faith in Christ with college students and orphans. Also, later, Henry traveled to Brazil to help needy children in a jungle area. While attending college for a time in Waco, TX he spent lots of time helping the homeless. He was present to aid flood victims in Houston, TX also.
The day of his death, Henry wrote these words in his math notebook: "Salvation is through faith, and only by faith in the Resurrection of Jesus, Son of God. Who was the propitiation for our sins; and by Him only are we saved, and of whom we receive our new nature, being now children of God." Henry wrote that he wanted to be able to see the morning come, and the morning sun, once again.
Private funeral services were held.
