Helen Louise Maurer, 78, of New Philadelphia, passed away Friday, April 21st, at the Community Hospice Truman House. Born in Marietta on August 31, 1944, a daughter of the late Clyde and Florence (Brookover) Brown. She was employed for many years as a nurses aid at various locations. She was also a woman of strong Christian faith. Survived by 3 daughters Rachel Maurer, of Carrollton, Rebekah (Brad) Soliday, of Minerva, Raynah (Mark) Abbuhl, of Navarre; sister Anita Piefer, of Illinois; 2 brothers Melvin Brown, of Ohio, Richard Brown, of Virginia; 8 granchildren; as well as many other family members; and friends. No services will be held at this time.
