Freddie L Croston, 79, of Canton, passed away Friday, September 1st, at Aultman Hospital. Born in Flemington, WV on December 16, 1943, a son of the late Homer and Bertha (Croston) Mayle. Also proceeded in death by his son Ronald Croston, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers. Retired from the Republic Steel Corp. of Canton as a railroad car repairmen and a member of the United Steel Workers of America. Survived by his wife Shirley (Mayle) Croston to whom he married May of 1965, daughter Pamela (Tommy) Dalton; 3 sons Rick (Lisa) Whitehair, Timothy Joe Croston, Gerald Croston, of all of Canton. As well as 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, 5 brothers. Freddie always had a smile and loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. He loved watching ballgames and feeding his squirrles from the porch. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. Friends may call Friday September 8th from 5 to 7 PM in the Waltner Simchak Funeral Home where a funeral service will follow with Pastor Anthony Mayle officiating.
