April 19, 1940 ~ April 8, 2022 (age 81)


Dixie Lea Gibson, 81, of Mansfield, passed away Friday, April 8th, in her home surrounded by loved ones. Born in Perryville, Ohio on April 19, 1940, a daughter of the late Albert and Lydia (Chupp) Lint, also preceded in death by 2nd husband Tyrone T. Gibson; 2 daughters Linda and June Kinsey; 2 sisters Jo-Ann Smail, Mary Lemon and 2 brothers Raymond and Robert Lint. A Jehovah's Witness and social butterfly, Dixie enjoyed talking about the Bible and sharing her faith with others. Employed as a crossing guard for Massillon City Schools and in childcare, she loved children, playing cards, seek-word puzzles and people, she especially loved her family. Survived by 2 daughters Debra (Thomas) Schwan, of Mansfield, Sue (Dwight) Gage, of Canton; son Jim Kinsey, of Florida; 2 stepsons Clayton (Lina) Gibson, Vincent Gibson; 5 grandchildren Micah (Korrie) Schwan, Starleen Schwan, Bethany Kinsey, Jessica Kinsey, Mathew Kinsey; 9 great-grandchildren Morgan and Blake Schwan, Kaitlyn, Skylar, Dawson, Sommerlyn, Tyler, Jade, Jordan and her 1st husband and father of her children Dean Leroy Kinsey as well as numerous step grandchildren, other family members and friends. The family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to Southern Care Hospice, First Choice Home Health Care and all the doctors and nurses for their attention and wonderful care. A memorial service will be live streamed via zoom at 4 PM on Saturday, April 23rd with Elder Kenneth Sellman officiating. Go to to join the live view.
