In loving memory of Curtis A. Hemphill II
6/27/1957-6/4/2021
son of the late Curtis Rex Hemphill and Betty Hemphill-
Croston, he is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ruthina,
his two daughters Jennifer (Joseph) Hemphill-Logsdon
of Atascadero California, and Megan (David) Hemphill
of Canton, Ohio; sisters Teresa Hemphill-Hudson,
and Amanda Sponseller; and his grandchildren, Christian Jr., Haley, Alexa, Curtis, Joseph
Jr., and Lynnlea; as well as many nieces; and nephews;
and finally the special dog he rescued, Buddy.
Curtis was a driver in the U.S. army and was stationed
in Germany. After being discharged in 1978, he worked
as a carpenter by trade, before relocating to Ohio after
thirteen years. He retired from the Republic Storage
Manufacturing Company.
He enjoyed hiking, fishing, metal detecting, and
camping. He collected baseball cards and antiques.
Curtis is remembered for his love and devotion to his
family. He will be loved and dearly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on
Tuesday, June 8th, in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home.
Friends and family may call two hours prior to services in the funeral home.
