Christopher Jerome Basnight Jr, transitioned Friday, September 10th, at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Canton on September 10, 2021, a son of Christopher Jerome Basnight Sr and Chante (Palmer) Basnight. Preceded in transition by paternal grandparents Herbert Jerome Bailey, Shirley Ann Basnight, maternal grandmother Carol Horton, and brother Caleb Basnight. Besides his parents he is survived by 2 sisters Christani Basnight, Marquala Basnight ; 3 brothers Techan Palmer, Jabez Basnight, Josiah Palmer; maternal grandfather Ronald Palmer Sr.; as well as a host of aunts; uncles; cousins; and other family members. A private memorial gathering will be held Saturday, September 18th from Noon to 2PM. Please contact Christopher's family for location details if you wish to attend.
