Charles Collinsworth Obituary

Charles Leo Collinsworth, 75, of Massillon, passed away Thursday, October 19th, 2023, following a brief illness. Born in Canton, on October 20, 1947, a son of the late William and Hazel (Williams) Collinsworth, also preceded in death by his wife Peggy (Senn) Collinsworth, sister Jean (Bob) Beck, brother Bill (Wendy) Collinsworth, and nephew David. Served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant for 3 years as well as in the National Guard for an additional 3 years. Survived by 2 daughters Missy (Miles) Leapline, Tonya (Wayne) McCarty, both of Massillon; brother Doug (Yoni) Collinsworth; 2 grandchildren Nicolette Piatko and Kyle (Brie) Salehi; significant other Linda Lorton-Cosgrove; nieces Tressa (Tim), Julie (Jesse), Tina (Dave), and Terry; nephews Bill (Julie), and Jeff; as well as many other family members; and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
