Terry Lee Lazette, 73, of Dover, passed away Tuesday, January 30th, at Mercy Medical Center following a 5 month illness. Born in Akron, on May 24, 1944, a son of the late Merle and Reatha (Murphy) Lazette; also preceded in death by a stepfather Richard Loomis, son Christopher Lazette. Employed as an operator for the City of Dover Waste Water Treatment Plant for 23 years retiring in 2007. A long time member of the New Philadelphia VFW Post 1445, and served in the U.S. Army Air Force as an Airman from 1962-1965. Terry was an avid gun engraver, listed as one of the top 100 engravers in the United States. Survived by his wife, Deborah Lazette, to whom he married December 28th, 2002; 2 daughters Kelly (Thomas Baughman) Lazette, of Massillon, Carol (Rick Armstead) Lazette, of Canton; 3 sons Lee (Amy) Lazette, Michael Lazette, both of Newcomerstown, Steven (Michelle) Lazette, of Lakewood; 2 step-daughters Tracey Ford, of Tuscarawas, Caren (Shawn) Metcalf, of Dover; step son Chad (Angela) Thomas, of New Philadelphia; also survived by 14 grandchildren.
