Robert G Miller

As the sun rose on September 15th, Robert G. (Bob) Miller, 77, of Canton, went home to be with the Lord. Bob was born in Albany, GA on December 27th, 1939. Bob is preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Minnie Mae (Brown) Miller, sisters Dorothy Kendrick, Ceola Cooke, brothers Willie Mack Brown, Nathaniel Harris, uncle Seago Harris, and Anna Mae Harris.

Bob leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 53 years Delories (Keaton) Miller of Canton, Ohio, sisters Brenda Miller of Albany, Georgia and Arnez Finney of Belle Glade, Florida and brother Willie Joe Harris of Easton, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by 5 daughters, Barbara (Damond) Miller-Harris of Akron, Ohio, Valerie Miller of Silver Springs, Maryland, Diane Miller of Stow, Ohio,  Michelle Miller of Canton, Ohio, Debbie (Frazier) Norton of Indianapolis, Indiana, 7 grandchildren, Ashley Miller, Kierra Miller, D’Vonte Miller, Niara Miller, King Robert Salter, Laysia Oglesby, Burell Norton 4 great-grandchildren, Khiren Miller, Josiah Miller, Easton Michefski, D’Vonte Miller and a host of relatives and friends.

Bob proudly served in the United States Army from 1962-1968 and retired from Timken Steel in 1991 after 35 years of services. Bob loved fishing, traveling, spending time with friends, and was an avid sports fan.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home on September 22nd. Calling hours from 11am until time of service at 1pm. Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everday, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and very dear. Burial to follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. There will be a gathering after in the Foltz Community Center 224 Wood St. NE Canton, Oh 44703.
