Jerry Alan Wendling, 66, of Canton, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, September 27. Born in Canton on March 28, 1952, a son of Imogene (Inman) Hoegh and the late Clarence Wendling. Employed as a truck driver and salesman for Value City Furniture for many years. In addition to his wife, Shirley Ann (Myers) Wendling of 46 years, he is survived by 3 daughters Melissa (Eric) Hendrix, of Canton, Shelly (Shawn) McClintock, of Newport Richie, FL, and Jerri Wendling, of Columbus; 4 sons Scott Wendling, Alan (Kelly Higgins) Wendling, Bobby (Tiffany) Wendling and Shawn Wendling all of Canton; sister Dalene Wayt, also of Canton; brother Billy Hoegh; 25 grandchildren including Clayton Hendrix and Braydon Wendling; 15 great-grandchildren; along with many other loving family members and friends. Funeral services will be held at 8:30PM Wednesday, October 3, 2018 in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Conley officiating. Friends may call from 6:30PM until time of service.
