Jan Thomas Obituary

Jan D Thomas, 60, of Canton, passed away Tuesday, October 23rd. Born in Canton on December 23, 1957, a daughter of the late James and  Ethel (Horne) Umbaugh, also preceded in death by son Marshall Thomas and brother Donald Umbaugh. Survived by companion of 30 years Roger Johnson; sisters Becky Umbaugh, Jill Swonger, and Mary Umbaugh; brother James (Judy) Umbaugh; daughter Jill Thomas; son Justin Wayt; grandchildren Jaeda Wayt, Justin Wayt, Jatashia Wayt; and many other relatives and friends. Jan was a PROUD graduate of McKinley High School- Class of 1975- "LET'S GO PUPS!" She was ready to be reunited with her family in Heaven, especially her son Marshall, who she missed dearly. She knew that "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, " 2 Corinthians 5:8 and would want those who she leaves behind to always remember "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me," Philippians 4:13. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life at 5PM on Monday, November 5th in the Sanctuary Church of God, 6535 Maplebrook St NE, East Canton, OH 44730, with Pastor Stephen Stewart and Pastor Michael Kelley officiating where a dinner will be served immediately following the services.
