Ira Sheldon Prophet age 60, passed away Saturday December 8, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center following a brain hemorrhage. He was born March 3, 1958 to the late Dean and Etta Prophet and resided all his life in Canton, Ohio. Ira was a 1976 graduate of Timken Vocational High School where He excelled at wrestling. He was also a high school ambassador for the Timken Company giving talks to other students. He later retired as a welder from Timken. He leaves two children, Marine Staff Sergeant Justin Prophet of Hollywood, Maryland, Shaina Prophet of Canton and two grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, sisters: Deborah Wilson, Valerie (Ben) Gulley, brothers: Geoffrey, Mark and Edward Prophet, all of Canton, Ohio. Ira loved to party with his friends, was generous to a fault and loved to cook. He said “everyone loved his cooking.” He will be missed by many.
