George "Mike" Shaw Jr.

George "Mike" Shaw, Jr., 59, of Canton, passed away very unexpectedly Sunday, April 15th, at Aultman Hospital. Born in Canton on March 14, 1959, a son of the late George M. Shaw, Sr. and Jo-ann (McQuisten) Shaw; also preceded in death by his wife Paultette (Dalton) Shaw, whom passed away April 7th, 2018, a son Jericole S. Shaw, a brother Kevin Shaw and nephew Jeffery A. Shaw Jr. George worked as a garage door technician at Pier One Door for 6 years. Survived by 5 daughters Carrie Dalton, Jessica Wyant, Maria Gamble, Sarah Sikora, Kaylee Cunningham; 3 sons Joseph Dalton, Jimmy Shaw, Matthew Wyant; sister Patricia Kelley, 3 brothers Frank Clendenin, Jeffery Shaw, Clark Shaw; also survived by 23 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. A fundraiser benefit dinner with raffle and silent auction, starting at 11am and lasting all day into the evening on Friday, April 20th, 2018, will be held at the Laborers Local 1015 Union Hall, 1121 Tuscarawas St W, Canton, OH 44702. Funeral Services will be held 12 PM on Saturday, April 21st in the Waltner - SIMCHAK Funeral Home, with Pastor Ron Mayle officiating, where friends may call 11am until time of services also in the funeral home.
