Gary E Morrison

Gary E. Morrison, 71, of Canton, passed away Friday, August 17th, after an extended illness. Born in Akron, Ohio on July 24, 1947 to parents Donald and Clara Jean (Hertzog) Morrison. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Jeffrey Morrison, sons Bud and Andy Morrison. Survived by his wife Cheryl R. (Meffert) Morrison; two daughters, Cari (Phil) Errington and Brandi (Joe) Ward; son Mikey (Katy) Morrison; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.  Gary was an electrician and ran his own business for many years. He was then employed by AMHA until his retirement.  He had many interests and collections.  But, he was most known for his love of music which spanned over several eras and genres. His deep appreciation for music was reflected in his singing & dancing – he could “cut a rug”.  He instilled that love in his children and grandchildren.  Gary loved people and enjoyed listening to their story.  He had a gift that put even strangers at ease, putting a smile on their face and getting them to laugh.  Gary held fast to the hope found at Revelation 21:3,4 “...and he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more...” A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 5838 S. Cleveland Massillon Rd, New Franklin, Ohio 44216 on Saturday, August 25th, 2018 at 2p.  Calling hours will start at 12p prior to the memorial service.
