Delories Miller

Delores Miller, 76, of Canton, departed this life on June 8, 2018, at Altercare Rehabilitation and Nursing Care, in Louisville, following an extended illness. Born in Albany, GA on August 6, 1941, a daughter of the late Lorenzo and Katie Mae Keaton. Besides her parents, preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Robert G. Miller, brothers William and Shelley Keaton, and sister in-law Juanita Keaton. Graduate of Monroe High School of Albany, GA where she sang soprano 1 in the acclaimed mass choir.  Employed as a nursing assistant at Timken Mercy Medical Hospital for 47 years where she received a great deal of recognition before retiring in 2006.  A former member of the Eureka Baptist Church of Albany, GA, she has also attended the Shiloh Baptist Church and the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, both of Canton. Survived by 4 daughters Barbara (Damond) Miller-Harris, of Akron, Valerie Miller and Diana Miller, both of Stow, Michelle Miller, of Canton; 3 sisters Mollie Keaton, Loras Keaton, both of Atlanta, GA, Grace Keaton, of Albany, GA; 2 brothers Rev. Lorenzo (Faye) Keaton, of Atlanta, GA, Jesse  (Mary) Keaton, of Albany, GA; sister in law Mildred Keaton; 5 grandchildren Ashley Miller, of Akron, Niara Miller, of Cleveland, Kierra Miller, of Erie, PA, Dvonte (Shannon Nelson) Miller, of Canton, King Salter, of Stow; 6 great-grandchildren Khiren Miller, Josiah Miller, Easton Machefski, Ky-Anna Miller, Kaden Miller and, Karia Miller and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Services will be held Friday, June 22, 2018 at 1pm in the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home with Rev. Lorenzo Keaton officiating. Friends may call from 11AM until time of service.
