I met Charles back a few years ago and we became friends. I only saw him every now and again, but he always greeted me with a smile and a hug. I am saddened by his passing. I know he is at peace now. I will miss him dearly. My sympathy to his family.

"Returning home to God"
Our bodies are mortal but our souls are eternal. The curse of sin is what brought death into the world and separated us from God.
Only because of His love and mercy did God bridge the gap between himself and His creation. A gap that was bridged by the blood shed on the cross when Jesus became the sinless perfect sacrifice for sin.
When our flesh dies and returns to dust, our soul can return to God if we accept the Lord Jesus Christ.
Ecclesiates 12:7- Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
2nd Corinthians 5:8- To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. My heart breaks for all of you...May God give you comfort, peace, strength and rest. He loves you and so do I.
