Barry Bailey, 61, of Paris Township, passed away Thursday November 15, 2018 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Route 30, in Canton. Barry was born in Alliance on July 11, 1957. The son of Joanne (Kannal) and the late George Roberts. Barry is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Roy and Mamie Kannal, brother in law Jim McCabe, and nephew Brad Bailey. Barry attended the Lisbon Baptist Temple. Mr. Bailey was employed by many companies and had even began his own. He was skilled at many trades, such as millwright, welding, pipefitting, and hydraulic repair. Barry's hobbies included welding, carpentry, fixing and riding motorcycles, working in his garage, enjoying his land, and spending time with his family. He was a US Army Veteran, and received many awards and recognitions. Barry was known for his kindness and generosity to others as well as his strong work-ethic. He will be deeply missed by many. Besides his mother, he is survived by his significant other Kathy Collier; children Barry Jr (Jennifer) Bailey, of Alliance, Rusty (Dion Deprille) Bailey, of Georgia, Joseph (Mindie) Bailey, of Alliance; and grandchildren Jay, Joseph, Marie, Brendan, Coby, Dion Jr, and Derrick; siblings Rosann (Dave) Berlin, of Alliance, Marcia McCabe, of Marietta, Steven (Rachel) Bailey, of Lisbon, Brad Bailey, of Atwater, Angela (Mark) Currier, of Tipp City. Also survived by children and grandchildren of Kathy Collier, whom Barry enjoyed spending time with, and many nieces and nephews. Per his request, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. A private graveside service will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 2PM on Friday, May 24th, 2019.
