Robert "Rick" Bracken

Robert (Rick) A. Bracken, 61, of Canton, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Fort Benning, GA on August 22, 1956. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce A. (Welch) Bracken. He leaves behind his father, Robert (Bob) W. Bracken, son Justin Bracken, daughters Christine Herman (Bill) and Jessica Bracken, granddaughter Bridget Herman, sister Cheryl Sturiale and her children Lauren Sturiale and Michael Sturiale, as well as many other relatives and close friends.Rick lived most of his life in Canton, OH, though he had fond memories of his years as a young man in Florida and South Carolina. He was married to Joan (Keane) Bracken in 1982 in Port St. Lucy, Florida, though they eventually divorced. Rick was a graduate of Glenwood High School, class of 1974. He loved working with his hands and creating. It was one of his talents. He worked most of his life in the construction industry, developing diverse skills. His other passion was riding, from his days winning trophies on his dirt bike to his many years cruising on his Harley. Much of his time was spent socializing with his many friends over a cold beer; he was always ready to hear someone's story.A final farewell and celebration of his life will be held by his family at the North Canton Fraternal Order of Eagles, 6979 Sunset Strip Ave, North Canton 44720, on Saturday, March 3rd at 3:00pm - 8:00pm, or until we conclude. Anyone who wishes to raise a glass in his memory or visit with his family is encouraged to stop by. He will be remembered with love and greatly missed.
