Pedro Borges Obituary

Pedro Borges, 86, of East Canton, passed away Saturday, April 7th, at Aultman Compassionate Care. Born in Cape Verde Islands, Portugal on December 30, 1931, a son of the late Antonio and Isabella (Rodriguez) Borges, also preceded in death by brother Andy Borges and two daughters Stephanie and Valerie. Employed at Republic Steel Corporation for 21 years before retiring in 1994. Besides his wife, Beverly Borges, he is survived by two daughters Tracy (Marcan) Singh of Pittsburgh , PA and Tamara (Clinton) Lowe of Carrollton; four sons Bryan (Sharon) Harris of Canton, Leon Harris and Scott Harris of Zanesville, and Brandon Harris of East Canton; sister Maria Rodriguez of Portugal; 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Thursday April 12th at the Waltner-SIMCHAK Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Summerfield officiating.
