Ethel L. Harshberger

Ethel L. Harshberger, 81, of Canton went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 7th, 2013 in Mercy Medical Center. Ethel was born in Altoona, PA on August 29, 1931, the daughter of the late Charles and Jessie (Bickerton) Way. Also preceded in death by her husband Russell, died November 24, 1977 a daughter, Margaret, three sons Edward, William and Michael.

Attended the Crystal Park Wesleyan Church of Canton. Ethel became a nurse in 1952 and it was her passion even after she retired.  Survived by two sons Joseph Harshberger of Canton,  Russell (Patsy) Harshberger of Weston; four grandchildren, Beth, Linda, Tanya, Mark; ten great-grandchchildren including three special great-grandchildren Michael, Paige, Laneen, Ethel had thirteen siblings of which she is survived by two brothers Lee Way of Spring Hill, FL. and Charles Way of Laper, MI., also numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 7pm in the Crystal Park Wesleyan Church of Canton with Pastor Robert W. Bolis officiating. Friends may call between 5pm till time of service in the church also on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to Plus or Minus 60 or the Crystal Park Wesleyan Church.
