Barbara E Collins

Barbara E. Collins, 73, of Canton passed away Saturday, August 5th, at her residence following a lengthy illness. Born in Canton, on May 5, 1944, but raised in Phillippi, WV, a daughter of Juanita (Mayle) Collins and the late Orvel Collins, also preceded in death by sister Lula Belle Mayle and brother Cecil Collins. She was employed for 27 years in the mason department at Republic Steel of Canton before retiring in 2006. She was a member of the former Church of God Saints of Christ Church of Canton. Besides her mother of Cumberland, MD, she is survived by daughter Gina (Melvin) Jackson, of Canton; brother Leonard Collins, of Las Vegas, NV; granddaughter Arielle Jackson; grandson Arius Jackson; heartfelt thanks to Barbara’s special friend Deborah (Debbie) Mayle, of Canton. Graveside services will be held in the Welsh Cemetery in Philippi, West Virginia on Sunday, August 13th at 1PM with Rev. William Burdine officiating.
